Surf & Equipment Hire in Widemouth Bay & Bude

!! Please Read Below Before Making a Booking !!

We are not always at our beach trailers in Widemouth Bay, so if you are looking to hire a wetsuit, surfboard or bodyboard then please make sure you have agreed a time with a member of the Freewave team. Prior to booking online, this can be done by speaking with Freewave staff at the beach, by dropping us an email or by giving us a call. We are only a few of minutes away from Widemouth, so even if it looks like we are closed please give us a call and we can usually pop down to assist you. 

At Freewave Surf Academy we have a large range of surf hire available from our beach trailer at Widemouth Bay. We rent warm summer and winter wetsuits, beginner to intermediate soft surfboards, quality bodyboards, intermediate to advanced level hard surfboards and inflatable Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP’S). We also have wetsuit boots, gloves and hoods available for those that get a little chilly and for the colder winter months.

We choose to use good quality kit so that you can have the best time possible.. no ropey old boards and suits with bits hanging off!

As a surf school we pride ourselves on give people excellent instruction and advice. A conversation with us prior to your hire will help your surfing go a long way during the time that you hire form us. If your looking for lessons along at the same time then just holler!

Hire is open from 9:30am to 6pm daily but 24 hour and multi day hire is available
